This Formula 1 helmet cam video is pretty cool. Taken from the point of view of Alpha Tauri driver Yuki Tsunoda, this video is a clip from practice at the Bahrain International Circuit. One of only a few night races in Formula 1, the spectacle of the cars under the lights is always incredible, and this helmet cam does a perfect job capturing the supernatural feeling of the nighttime speed.
In this video Tsunoda leaves the pit lane, goes for a lap, and then comes in for a practice pitstop where we see the amazing choreography of an F1 pitstop from the driver's perspectivem, changing all four tires in right around two seconds. The sense of speed we get is intense, but the fact that this is just practice means there is much more pace to be had. Formula 1 cars are amazing beasts, and the ability to see what the drivers see through this camera is definitely pretty cool.
